What changes when you convert ODP to PDF
It stops being editable
A ODP is a document that reflows — text finds its own line breaks depending on the fonts and page size available. A PDF fixes every glyph in place. That is exactly why PDF is the format you send someone, and exactly why it is the wrong format to keep working in. Hold on to the ODP as your editable master.

The conversion runs through headless LibreOffice — the same engine behind the desktop suite, not a lookalike parser. It handles ordinary documents faithfully. Where it can drift is on the elaborate: a document leaning on fonts the server does not have will have them substituted, and the substitute rarely occupies exactly the same width, so line and page breaks can move. Heavily designed layouts are worth checking against the original.
One slide per page, and no motion
Each slide becomes a page. Transitions, builds and animations have no representation in a PDF, so anything that appeared on a click is rendered in its final state — which means an overlapping build can print as overlapping text. Speaker notes are not included in the pages.
